Richard is a patent professional with 13+ years of experience as a UK Patent Office Examiner and in private corporate practice, both as an Analyst and Technical Lead. Richard has a passion for all things mechanical engineering and patents. He has a proud record of providing clients with thorough, high quality, iterative searches allowing key decisions on IP to be made with confidence.
Richard has a wide range of mechanical subject matter experience in industry and also as an examiner & search analyst, including in ICE/EV automotive, aviation, batteries, buildings, doors and windows, exhausts, gearboxes, HVAC, lighting, locks, mining, oil and gas, renewables, turbines, etc. Richard also has had a 12-year career in the mining and minerals exploration industries in Australia and the UK as a global consultant.
Richard is a UK native and a fluent German speaker, having grown up in Germany as a child. He conducts scoping, searching, analysis searching and reporting in English and German.
